In 2004, I experienced a life-altering event when I had an epileptic seizure, resulting in a traumatic spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed from the chest down. Despite being told I would never breathe on my own again, I defied the odds and was off the ventilator within 10 days. This journey showcased the incredible power of the human mind and inspired me to become a therapist.
